Hi folks,

You'll have noticed by now that we have two poems newly chosen for the Featured folder, drawn from responses to the September prompts. Each of the co-founders voted - we weren't allowed to vote for our own poems - and these two came out ahead of the pack, so to speak.

~SilverWynd gave us "Harvest Moon" fav.me/d48qpj6 , a deceptively simple villanelle with a tight, easily chanted rhythm. She reminds us that the Moon is the pre-eminent symbol of the Goddess, "divine in her own right". Not just a great poem but also great paganism, in other words.

"Band Practise fav.me/d49orvq by ~AstralaDreamwalker is another tightly written piece, with a compelling rhythm to it. Her poem is in praise of the God as Pan, however, as she wonders how church musicians might react to the sudden presence of that creator of wild music. Written for the prompt "reluctance", her answer is that those musicians would be drawn answer the music in their blood. A wonderful affirmation with tongue firmly in cheek.

We hope you enjoy reading these poems, and that you are inspired to enter some of the October prompts.

Blessed Be, Steve aka Cernig
