Poem To Pan

I praise my immortal Lord Pan Guardian and savior to all man He leads the hunt and feeds the fields All evil that cross shall always yield His horns scare off the traitors The village feast he always caters All the nymphs he tries to swoon But they all think him a buffoon Yet by wearing the sheepskin The Goddess Selene he did win But the nymph Syrinx escaped his lust She turned into reeds to Pan's disgust Yet the wind through the reeds made a beautiful sound It turned Pan's mind right around He sliced up the reeds and put them side by side He made the Pan Pipes which gave him pride Yet one sailor heard that Pan did die The lo

Pagan Survey/Meme

From Tumblr, but it's still good info. I'd love for you to read it. Let's have intelligent discourse. Loves. I'm not quite sure who the creator of this survey is nor who I got it from, if someone could point me in the right direction, I will gladly link the source. Please describe briefly your Path: I'm a Ecclectic Pagan. I guess my 'main' influences are Norse and Wiccan. The other inspirations consist of (off the top of my head): Asatru, Celtic, Greek, Folk magic, Hoodoo, Voodoo, Shamanism, Native American spirituality, Buddha-dharma, and a good bit of skepticism and science. Please describe briefly how you practice it: I do what feels

Familiar

Pull me back, Away from the edge, Lead me down a different path. Guide me true, Through trial and woe, Though others may hold me back. Trust is placed, Upon your shoulders, It is an important job you have. I in turn, Listen to your words, Acting as channel to your wisdom. Familiar, With me throughout all, Until I am released from this life. Stand near me, Stand tall, guide me on, Lead me down my chosen path.

Fuadach nan Gaidheal

(The Expulsion Of The Gael) Heart cleft in two, Halves beat as one across the grey Atlantic. Ancestral blood in quantum jump, From purpled hills. Cast ashore as stranger, One sense lost to distance, The weight of land and history, Pigeon with no way back. Homesick: Keening inside that closes the throat, Blinds sight with memory, Marrow aching. Lamenting to the wind those sights No longer seen. Building hearth anew, By Beltane banefire lit, Celtic magic carried far, And finding echoes in nature. As ever was. The far-flung Gael, Wandering since Partholon, Guided by starlight. Love and life woven in weft, Of home and chi

i prefer the paranormal

i turned the lights out and that's when the whispering started.  the ghosts were always doing that, always waiting until i couldn't see them to start making noise.  i said something to them and i said it out loud so that i'd know for sure they heard me.  the whispering stopped for a few seconds like they were considering my words.   "of course we like the dark much better," one of them said to me, then.  "it's more friendly this way, don't you understand?" "i don't understand.  i don't know what it's like to be a ghost." "i suppose not," the other conceded.  "you're still quite fleshy, aren't you?" the first ghost explained, then, "the da

Shiver

When it rains it pours, When it whispers it roars, When the end comes, Nobody can stop it. When it calls, we hear, When it draws us near, We have no other option, But to follow. So I stand here alone, in the rain. As the ones I love slowly fade away. Hold me close, my lady, Never let me go. I'm crying out my lady, And I know you hear me, so Hold me near you my lady, Hold me tight in your embrace. In the moonlight of your love, Until tomorrow never comes, And I shiver in the darkness, Until the sunlight shines, Once more. When it freezes, it snows, When we see it we know, There is nothing we can do, To change the past.
